Broen – Opticloud enables increased collaboration

Broen A/S, which produces valves for various purposes, had a desire to see the reasons for stopping in their production machines and make sure that operators clarified any stops.

What

At the same time, Broen wanted a real-time picture of their production that both managers and operators could work together on and measure their key figures, which produced items and OEE. 

Why

This was essential for Broen, to achieve and ensure greater output. 

In addition, it will ensure, via digital overview, that the used capacity that was available effectively. In doing so, they gain increased competitiveness and digital transformation of their factories. 

How

Broen selected some key machines on which Opticloud was installed. Opticloud collects data from each of these machines at the same time that operators can easily enter stop causes. As desired, managers can now quickly get an overview of the production.

Results

• Machine operators can now actively tell why there are stops.
• Data is analyzed by Broen’s own specialists and used to provide both real-time overview of the production, but also overview on a week and monthly basis via reports adapted to the bridge’s needs.
• Managers work with operators to improve uptime and have as high capacity as possible, while making work easier for operators. Everyone now shared the task.
