Part counter

Many factories use a subject counter to determine whether a machine is running or not.
A subject counter can also be used to count how many items are produced.
It’s a big mental leap, even if it doesn’t sound like much – but why it?
On many machines, the operator has an opportunity to tamper with the speed of the machine. If the speed is reduced, the uptime is probably high.
The subject counter can detect that the machine is running – if you do not measure the production speed, you do not notice how slowly it may be going.
On the other hand, there is not a high productivity, but it looks good.
That’s the problem with using the subject counter to measure uptime. OEE is a better ratio, for it combines uptime with production speed and quality, and bum! then we have a number that makes sense. In addition, the subject counter can also be used to determine scheduled maintenance. It was the tip of the day, quite free.
