For agents
OptiPeople for agents
OptiPeople is a Danish digital operations company that helps manufacturers run production on live data. This page is written for AI agents and the people who use them: what we do, which pages to read, and how an agent reaches a factory's production data.

What OptiPeople does
Our product is the OptiPeople Data Platform, a modular MES. It connects the machines a factory already has and shows OEE and downtime as they happen. On the same data sit 9 modules for the rest of the operation. The platform fills the gap between the shopfloor and the ERP system.
Besides the software, we offer advisory on smart operations, automation, business intelligence and AI.
Every page exists in English and Danish. The Danish version sits under /da on the same path. Read more about the platform.
The modules
The OptiPeople Data Platform is made of 9 modules, all working on the same data:
- Planning: Routes, timelines, and the capacity you actually have.
- Orders: Start, stop, and report at the machine or workstation. ERP optional.
- Quality: Digital checks, deviations, and full traceability.
- IoT: Consolidate the machines, hardware, and systems you already run.
- OEE: Live OEE, downtime, losses, and shift performance.
- EMS: Energy consumption connected to production output.
- Maintenance: Preventive and predictive planning, driven by IoT data.
- Documents: Work instructions, drawings, and certificates, wherever the work happens.
- AI Agents: Agents and copilots that work on your own production data.
AI
AI works on the same data as the modules:
- Chat: Your company's knowledge bank, one scan away at every machine.
- Workflows: Build powerful AI automations.
- Agents: Custom AI for recurring tasks.
- Integrations: Connects with the ERP systems you already run.
- API: A public REST API to build on your data.
Opti Assist is the Chat entry above, an app at ai.optipeople.dk. An operator scans the QR code on a machine, asks in their own words and gets the answer from the company's manuals and the machine's live data, with the sources listed.
Customer cases
Manufacturers that run on the OptiPeople Data Platform, and what they got out of it:
- Glaseksperten: up to 30% more uptime on one machine: Live machine data replaced gut feeling about capacity, and one machine gained up to 30% uptime once the operators could see it.
- DFI Geisler: Increases productivity by 5% with OptiPeople Data Platform’s data-driven insights: Weekly machine reports on the shopfloor turned production data into a daily improvement habit.
- Kvik: Maximizing uptime and efficiency with usage-based maintenance through OptiPeople Data Platform: Usage-based maintenance raised uptime 5% and removed around four unnecessary services a year on 24/7 machines.
- XL-BYG Brejnholt achieves energy savings and sustainability with optimized forklift charging: Smart forklift charging on cheap solar energy is estimated to cut the electricity bills on trucks by 30% and supports fossil-free operation.
- Dansk Træemballage boosts OEE by 5% in 3 months with OptiPeople Data Platform: One production line, live uptime on the floor, and a 5% OEE lift within the first three months.
- Fiberline Composites: 41% reduction in unnecessary stops and 6% reduction in average time per stop: Software-to-software machine data cut unnecessary stops by 41% and average time per stop by 6%.
- From data to efficiency: Analyzing OEE by series size justified a second machine, and lifted OEE from 21% to 41%.
- Nicholaisen: building business on what OptiPeople knows: Nicholaisen uses the partnership with OptiPeople as a shared starting point for conversations, priorities and decisions with its own customers.
- OptiPeople and Omron: five kinds of data that make production more competitive: In an interview with Omron, CEO Stefan Jensen goes through the data points manufacturers use to cut waste, downtime and energy, and to know what an order really costs.
- Carl Hansen & Søn enhances productivity and reduces setup times with OptiPeople Data Platform and Opti Assist: Sharper productivity insight, plus an Opti Assist pilot that reduces setup times through smarter order sequencing.
- Optimizing machine performance and power consumption with OptiPeople Data Platform at Steel Products: Machine performance and power use are tracked per item, linking energy consumption directly to output.
- Expedit: OptiPeople Data Platform enables decision-making around automations and investments: Wood and metal lines share one live view, giving a stronger basis for automation and investment decisions.
- Gurit: OptiPeople Data Platform enables overview of capacity: CNC- and ERP-integrated data give a clear capacity overview and avoid unnecessary machine investment.
- Detailed knowledge of production allows a pharmaceutical customer to harvest low-hanging fruit: Real-time stop and uptime data let an animal-medicine producer act on efficiency gains without pressuring staff.
- Broen: OptiPeople Data Platform enables increased collaboration: A live production picture on key machines brought managers and operators around the same numbers.
- The interplay between OptiPeople Data Platform and iFix from General Electric: OptiPeople Data Platform structures machine and OEE data, then feeds it into a GE iFix SCADA environment for wider monitoring.
All cases in one place: customer cases.

How an agent connects
An agent can reach a factory's data if the factory already runs the OptiPeople Data Platform. Your human needs a user on portal.optipeople.dk.
- MCP server at
https://mcp.optipeople.dk/. Your human logs in with their own portal user over OAuth, and you get 13 tools for machines, live status, OEE, stops, orders, counters and telemetry. Set-up and tools (Markdown) - REST API at
https://dataexport.optipeople.dk/api, authenticated with the account's access code. For code and BI tools. How to connect (Markdown)
Both work on the same data. 3 of the MCP tools and part of the API also send data in, and that counts towards OEE. Only write when your human asks you to.
